Ingredients:

6 Eggs

1 1/2 Cups organic whole milk

4 Tablespoons grass-fed butter, melted

1-3 Teaspoons vanilla extract

2 Tablespoons maple syrup (plus extra for serving)

Cinnamon to taste

1 Loaf thick cut sourdough bread, sliced diagonally

Fruit Preserves of your choice

1 Medium banan (optional)

Fresh berries (optional)

Directions:

  1. In a medium sized bowl whisk the eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and butter.

  2. Take out a 13x9 inch pan and grease it.

  3. dip each slice of bread in the batter, placing them in the pan so that they stand up vertically.

  4. Once each slice is soaked and placed in the pan, spread the fruit preserves in between each slice. cover the pan with foil and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour or overnight if desired.

  5. When ready to bake, Preheat the oven to 350 and bake for 30-45 minutes. if you notice that the bread is browning quickly cover the top with the foil and continue baking.

  6. Top with fruit, slice up and enjoy!

    Please note: you can bake fruit on top but be sure to slice it up and place on top prior to baking and keep in mind it may burn if you are not paying close attention
